If you are new to Haydee and have not experienced the first game, give it a shot. You do not need to play the first game in order to understand what is happening. Since both games tell their stories environmentally. I still also recommend playing the first game because it’s great. If you have played the first Haydee then ask yourself what aspects of the first game you enjoyed. This game is very difficult, but in my opinion it is nowhere near as difficult as the first game. And that is primarily due to the lack of platforming.
Haydee 2 is an excellent game. I can’t recommend it enough to those who know what they are getting themselves into. The game is difficult, sometimes unfair, and downright relentless to people like me who are careless and unobservant. While I believe the first game to have been more difficult and challenging. This game is still not for the faint of heart. The music is good, the new weapon upgrade system is simple but satisfying to use. And the ability to craft ammo is an interesting way to spice up the game. Haydee 2 is a third-person over the shoulder metroidvania shooter. The controls are remappable, responsive, and smooth. Very little of the control scheme is immersion-breaking. Those who have played the first Haydee will find that. The movements and controls are much the same with the exception of the couple things.
